Hi! Isn't this the perfect weather for knitting?? (in Sydney anyway, where it is cold and humid!)
I have just designed a fitted vest to knit with Woolconnection Astrakan Niebla, It is a simple pattern, with a narrow reverse stocking stitch waist, armholes and neck bands, the rest knitted in Stocking St, with shaping in the waist and a low V neck, to flatter most figures! I should have a photo of it this week to show you! It knits up quickly, done in 6mm needles, ideal for spring weather.
I am sawing a jumper I just finished, with a Rustica Patons pattern and instead of using their Rustica yarn, I've used Woolconnection Flame Dan, the tension is the same, so I could follow the pattern without changes. The only difference is that I did not need as much yarn as the pattern called for. I will post a picture shortly!

Hello everyone. I was just reading the Creative knitting forum about issue 17. There are a lot of upset people out there! Creative Knitting was the only knitting mag in Australia and it looks like it will be published only once a year. If you would like to see a new magazine take Creative Knitting's place, have your say, what would you like to see in a knitting magazine? How often would you like it to be published?
